How much protein daily?

I read a book above. It had a formula for how much protein to eat a day. Eating more protein then we need - goes to fat.

Women
45 grams for 5 feet tall
2.3 grams for each inch past 5 feet tall

I'm 5'3" so 2.3 grams x 3 inches = 6.9 grams
45 grams (5') + 6.9 grams (3 inches) = 51.9 grams of protein a day or round to 52 grams
It is easy for me to remember 50 grams so that will be what I strive for daily protein

If you exercise more than 60 minutes, five days a week, than multiply daily protein by 1.4


Men
50 grams for 5 feet tall
2.3 grams for each inch past 5 feet tall
Than multiply that number times1.2 to get your daily protein. However if you exercise more than 60 minutes a day, five days a week than mulitply that number times 1.6 instead of 1.2
