Harvesting The Winter Wheat
Thursday, May 17, 2018
Saying goodbye to my beloved winter wheat as the farmers that lease our extra acreage begin to harvest.
I no longer eat wheat but love it nonetheless, rejoicing when its planted in the fall. Winter wheat means I’ll be surrounded all winter with a lush green “lawn” that simply makes my heart sing while everything else is a bleak brown.
Thank you Mother Nature; Thank you farmers, for brightening the view all winter. Hope to see you again this fall!
