I am thoroughly exhausted. My whirlwind trek north ended with multiple stops on the way home for bargains. I walked miles today, all on concrete floors, but got 13 boxes of jigsaw puzzles, a total of twenty or so puzzles, for $3.00!
We had a wonderful visit in Oscoda, staying overnight with friends.
We had lunch, talked a lot over peach melba slushies with rum, since Di wanted to use her very nice ninja blender.
We then relaxed in their new two-story addition the home. We all witnessed, talked about our out-of-body experiences. Ron and I both had them but they were both VERY different.

After a leisurely BBQ dinner, we took a ride all over Cedar Lake on their pontoon. They had the Bose stereo music on, but I much prefer the sound of the waves, frogs, loons..
The ride was so relaxing, so we then docked at home and enjoyed the sunset over the lake and fir trees. I could have gone to bed right after that, but Ron wanted to watch a DVD of P.T. Barnum with Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman. It was excellent. They have power reclining theater leather couches and chairs in their interior living room, with a 68 in huge TV screen that could probably be seen from outer space! Ron did not tell Debbie and or me that they had custom surround sound, so that music intro to the film blasted us out of our seats! We were only sitting about two feet away from the speakers/screen!

I fell asleep to the sounds of frogs, bald eagles screeching over the lake, and loons, as they dipped their heads in the water in the moonlight.. that is my friends permanent home,so they love it..
They want us to come back up for a longer stay so we can go fishing and drive up to their property an hour north in Alpena, where they have a club membership with tennis courts, indoor pool and spa, theater rooms, restaurants, etc.Sign me up for that trip!
