I'm feeling so much better that's easy to jump ahead of myself! I thought I would be up for exercise but after being in bed for almost a week, the last four days has been about staying upright, walking around, going up and down the stairs and sitting up - some of which led to dizziness and just feelings of exhaustion.
Now that my appetite has come back, I thought I could eat "normal" but instead eating gave me heartburn or hiccups, so I've kept to semi-solid foods and added back solid foods a bit more slowly. Because this might have been a colon blockage, I'm still taking Mira-Lax and monitoring my bowel movements.
Today, I'm feeling almost back to normal so I think I'll try a Walk Away the Pounds 1 mile walk today and see how it goes. I'm hoping by Sunday to be back to my normal workout routines.
Being sick did break my plateau and I lost 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. That weight loss made some substantial changes to how my skin suit feels - there are certain numbers you will cross that will make you go "wow! I have a different body!" and I had posted about that some time back w my blog entry: Wow! Feeling the Power!
This time around, losing this weight has made me far more flexible around my waist. I have a deeper sense of where my hips are and what I can do with my abs. Again, these body shifts are hard to describe - they don't happen with every pound shed but there are just some finish lines that when you cross them, you really "know" it.
I want to maintain that weight loss (even though it came about due to health reasons) so I'm drinking pretty of water and slowly bringing my calories back into place. For example, when sick I was eating about 600-900 calories per day. I'm easing that number back up to 1200 which is my lower end of what I allow myself on my weight journey. I probably won't be back up to 1500 until next week.
