Great doctor appointment!

Monday, May 14, 2018

I had only a couple little glitches in my appointment, but my lab numbers are great. He smiled as he showed me the numbers.
My A1C rose from 5.6 to 6.0, but that is still good.
LDL AND HDL are great. MY tri's dropped 60 points, but need to go down about another 50 points.
My BP is perfect. I lost 15 pounds since last visit, but need a boatload more to fly away.
HE ordered a bone density test that I will schedule later today. I had that before, it is easier and more comfortable than sitting in the lobby!
My feet look great, but he still wants me to continue to go to the podiatrist.
I told him about my eye problem, that it is permanent, my severe fear of blindness, and my appointment with my surgeon at the end of the month.
Vacation countdown: 85 days. emoticon
I had a book of paperwork to fill out for Medicare, so that is finished.

When people tell you that they are much busier after retirement than they were while working, it is because of the paperwork, referrals, appointments, etc!
My pulled muscle is much better today, still there, but not mind-blowingly sharp and screaming..

I am so happy for all the good numbers, my friend! That is good news that you're doing all the right things. I worry about your eyesight too. Our business computer applications instructor has macular degeneration. She is still teaching, but it gets more and more difficult. She is retiring in 18 months (when she turns 65) but I'm afraid she won't be able to get there. I hope and pray that you don't get that way. XOX

Praise the Lord for a great doctor appointment!
I agree with you when you said we are much busier after retirement than when we are working due to paperwork, referrals, appointments, etc!
Take care & have another blessed day, Lin! :)

I am glad that you had good numbers and that you told this doctor about your eyes. Many times I am asked when did the symptoms start and I can't remember. Should some sort of an emergency arise, this is recorded in your records.

    Excellent progress!

I really do hope that there is something that they can do to help with your eyes. Is it because of your cateriac surgery you had a year or so ago. I sure hope not.
