I can't believe it has been THIS long, since October, my Gawd!
People, you MUST have support. A coupla years ago, Obama, God Bless His Soul, GAVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET FRIGGIN' HEALTH INSURANCE. This man, I will bless him to Eternity. This MONUMENTAL thing, The Affordable Care Act, has saved my life. In this day and age, and in this GIG economy, I have NO health insurance through my gig job. So, for 10 years, I've been without insurance. Well, now I have Kaiser Insurance, which cost's $800+ per month. With Obamacare, my premiums are a bit less, and I'm paying them. SOOOOO, with insurance, I have a doctor, a therapist, a health coach, classes... I'm also doing DBSA (which I HIGHLY recommend for those of you with depression or bipolar disorders!) and I'm also pursuiing my artistic pursuits.
AND, I've decided to join Meltdown Challenge. I did this in 2015 and I failed. I don't know what the future holds in store for me, but I want to lose weight. I now weigh 303.4#. My challenge: lose 4% of my body weight, and according to the challenge, if I weigh 191.6 on or about June 10, I WIN! I had to invest $20 and I'm resolved to do this!
My health coach recommends "Intermittent Fasting" as one of the tools of losing weight. I understand---either fast for 16 hours once a week, or eat for 8 hours each day and fast for 16 hours each day. This sounds monumentally difficult, but I'm going to try! Tomorrow, I plan to fast--it's at the end of my week, I have just one job I do throughout the day--it is somewhat stressful, but rewarding, as well.
My health coach has me working on three things--long term goals, short term goals, and focus. My focus is this challenge--lose 4% by June 10. I hope to journal in here at least once a week!
I just found out spark people no longer does vlogs! That royally sucks! I just edited one of my best, and I can't put it here!
I don't want to put it on youtube! That's like FB, everyone on the planet can see it! It's true, everyone on the planet WAS able to see our blogs, but no more! I'm not sure what to do--that was a key feature that I REALLY LIKED. It sucks.
