Cold, rainy day..

Friday, May 11, 2018

Today was an errand day, but I did get home before the rain started. It is a cold, rainy, black-skied day.It is the kind of day to put warm clothing on and drink hot tea. We just switched our A/C over to summer mode, so had to switch it back to use the furnace today.
When will we lose winter?

Our thermostat has an automatic mode that will switch to whatever is needed. We often have cool mornings and hot afternoons this time of year. I hope you still had an enjoyable day with your tea and a good book! XOX

We had to about do the same thing, and switch the AC off and the heat back on, but we just turned on the electric floor heater on in the kitchen and left the furnace alone. Darn weather still not making up it's mind very fast. Need to go back and check your subscription again, as I haven't been getting your blogs.

Hope Winter leaves quickly. We have finally said our goodbyes to it out here in the mid-Atlantic.

We have had temperatures in the 80's, but when the cold fronts meet the warm temperatures, there will be storms. We were bypassed by severe thunderstorms yesterday, but tomorrow, it may be stormy again.

I don't know if I would rather it be cold than stormy. It has been some years ago, but a tornado went through a small town about 3 miles from our house. No damage from colder temperatures unless it snows or there is ice. Severe thunderstorms have hail and high winds.
