Fire and crowds of people

Saturday, May 05, 2018

So this weekend is the big party weekend at the local university. The drinking and carousing started Thursday afternoon and will probably go through Sunday afternoon or evening... though Sunday afternoon they enterprising ones among them hold can and bottle collection drives, and make a fair amount of cash off their fellow students who are too lazy to take back their nickel returnables. Turns out nothing deters the party. Not the pouring rain, and not the water pouring from fire hoses while the church in the middle of downtown burned. The fire was noisy. And traffic was rerouted all whichaway and was a mess. But the students were mostly on foot, so they didn’t much care, except it meant the cops were all busy with the fire and directing traffic... and not policing the parties and drunken idiocy. My niece, Tigan, and I turned down one road to go drive to the garage to pick up her car (she had driven my dad’s). Trying to get through the crowd standing in the street was enough to tweak every social anxiety trigger I have (and hers as well)... the only reason they moved aside enough for our little Volt to get through, was because we had the two dogs in the car so we were “too cute”... I am so glad I left and went to my dad’s house. The fire was pretty massive. It engulfed the former Methodist church (currently the Family zzz church)... after a transformer blew. I have a picture, but I cannot seem to load it.

Oh my gosh...things are just going from bad to worse with the idiots around you! I'm glad you left also...it's not worth it to put yourself through this agony!

At least at your dad's house, you can get your sleep and some peace and quiet. I hate to say it...but perhaps it will better for you if you move out of that crazy place.

I hate that you are the one that has to leave because the building manager is too oblivious to DO her job and contain those crazy animals! Oh, my goodness...my heart just aches for you, Chandra. You are a good person minding her own business and this is what you get....life is SO unfair sometimes my friend. But do remember your sparky friends all love you dearly and are cheering you on to a much better place!!

Would it work out to move in with your dad or would that be uncomfortable?

Big love and light to you my friend! emoticon
