Day 22 Exercise Streak: Butt Blaster, Bike Ride, Abs, Obliques, Hips, Lower Back and a Disgusting D
Tuesday, May 01, 2018
I started exercising before work by doing butt blasters. That's all I had time for because I diddle daddle, dawdle, and procrastinate. I worked late. Probably the 2nd to the last teacher to leave, did laundry (Did I mention that I procrastinate?), and then rode my bike. I need to take advantage while the weather is nice.
I usually do laundry on weekends but I had a lot of grading, had a school event, and rode my bike for hours Sat. and Sun. So, I did it today.
After the bike ride I did a Coach Nicole video which worked my abs, obliques, lower back, and hips.
You've been waiting for this...
The disgusting decision. I stopped at Taco Bell. I have not had a Mexican Pizza from TB in probably 15-20 years. I used to like them so much I had to make a concerted effort to give them up.
What in the heck was I thinking? A wave of nostalgia hit me today and my steering wheel began to turn into TB. Why?! I have no explanation. It was pure madness.
I ordered a Mexican Pizza. I ate it later.
It was not worth it.
It was disgusting.
Eating healthy veggies and fruits and limiting processed foods has changed my tastebuds for the better. Seriously, why did I crave Mexican Pizza years ago? What was wrong with me?
Looking on the bright side, I am glad I realized how horrid TB food is. I normally don't eat fast food. Maybe a salad, but that is it. I sometimes get the McD's southwest salad with light Newman's Own Balsamic Dressing about 35 calories a package.
But I don't like the amount of sodium in restaurant and processed grocery store foods.
This morning my BP was great (and that is without medication anymore). Is that why I stopped? Did I subconciously think the excessive salt wouldn't hurt me. I'll take my BP again in a few minutes to see.
Lesson learned. I won't make that mistake again.
