Day 8 Stretch #100daychallenge

This morning I laid in bed thinking about my sore muscles and seriously struggled with the decision to go to the gym or not go to the gym.

I truly hate to give an inch because I'll snowball.

But I had to be honest with myself and accept that my body is telling me to take a break from working out after 7 consecutive days. Not even low impact cardio would be acceptable for how I felt this morning.

Once I came to terms with the decision to not work out today, I decided to use the time I allot in the morning for going to the gym to focus on some much needed stretching instead.

After 20 minutes of stretching I felt so much better, and I also realized that I have zero flexibility. I never had good flexibility but it's worse now than ever before.

Now I'm starting to think if I spend more time each day stretching after a workout, it may alleviate soreness and aid in faster recovery after a workout.

I no longer feel guilty about not going to the gym this morning and as far as I'm concerned my streak continues because I did a physical activity that aided in the wellbeing of my body.

My energy level is up.
I did not weigh myself this morning.
