Twelfth Weekend Fasting Cycle While Traveling
Monday, April 30, 2018
So Sat was a traveling day. I was busy packing for an afternoon flight. Luckily, I didn't have to eat, thus, saved a lot of time to do my packing. At the airport, the cheapest food was Whataburger at the food court for $4-5. Sit down restaurants were $16-21 a pop. Luckily, they didn't get a dime from me. Sun, I drove the routes I have to travel on Mon., so I would know exactly what to do on Mon morning. Once again, not having to eat, I had plenty of time with no interruptions. I was going to break my fast on Mon morning for a 60-hour duration, but an idea came up, why not go for Mon dinner to break the fast? And it was a wise decision as I was able to work on Mon the whole day with no interruptions. My mission on Mon turns out to be a success and fasting was the big reason I did well. I think that's how our ancestors did anyway, they didn't have much food when they traveled from village to village. I think they had to fast while traveling for a few days or so.
In summary, I did a 70-hour fast instead of my usual 60-hour and it was not difficult. I will go back to the regular schedule of 60-hour fast next weekend.
On Wed, I'll fly back in the morning, thus, I'll fast after lunch on Tues and eat again on Wed evening or Thurs morning after I get home. That's 30 or 42-hour fast depending on when I break the fast. This will keep me fasted while flying.
Epilogue: I broke the mid week fast on Wed evening. From Tue lunch to Wed dinner, that's 30 hour fast.
