Seriously, who dumps someone via text message? (25% of breaker uppers, apparently)

Not a plea for pity, no need for sympathy, it was something that was going to happen sooner or later (says the pessimist in me), and it was a fun few months. Just the method that alternately annoys and amuses me. Seems like a very millennial thing, and she is older than I am.

Life marches on (this happened last week, anyway). Just thought it warranted mentioning, since I'd mentioned her existence in this space, and pretty much just here among social media outlets.

Here's to it not being another (way too many) years before the next relationship worth mentioning, eh?

The gym streak ended at 5, as I didn't make it in on the weekend. One beer, and a couple of late night meals resulted in a 5 pound weight gain, which countered the near ten pound reduction the prior week brought. Which is to say, my weight is a freaking yo yo, and not something that I really oughta mention until a certain level has been achieved for a few days running. But I do it anyway, like the 229.8 I read from the scale this morning.

Side effect of the gym visits is a pair of weary knees, and other assorted aches and pains (on top of the messed up elbow that's been bothering me going on a couple of months now.

Side note, BLC round 37, my first foray into that structure in a couple of years (as far as I can figure out) begins in a couple of days, and I'm hoping to get some motivation out of that. Hope it works to some advantage.

    So now you know... she's a no-class coward. No mourning needed. And I wouldn't fret about the 5 lbs -- probably mostly water from the added carbs, and men do add muscle fast -- when the fat comes off, you'll see it. Get back to the gym and your eating plan!

    You have a lot going on right now. I think breaking off a relationship that way is not the right way to do things. Face to face would have been the right way to go. Try to get back on track with things and move forward. Stay strong and positive. It will get better.

    It's healthy to talk about that kind of thing, your break up. Those kinds of things affect our health. I'm glad you still made it to the gym. I tend to wallow in self pity.
