Since I skipped last month...

It is now May, and since I skipped making any goals or plans for April for my healthy living journey, it's time to get back on track.

This month, I really want to see some weight loss. I only have myself to blame for not seeing any the previous few months as I have really allowed snacking to take over my day. Plus, winter seemed to hang on forever and walking in 15* weather is hard to get motivated to do. All excuses, I know.
So now, the weather has finally broke and nicer day's are here. I can get outside and garden, do yard work, walk to my mom's for a visit or help her with her yard work. I can drink more water since I am not always cold now and wanting a warm cup of coffee in my hands. Greens are growing in the garden, so I can eat more leafy greens without worrying about busting my budget. Other home grown veggies are coming along in time. Summer means fresh fruit and berries to enjoy. Sweets that don't have to have chocolate on them to make the desirable.
So, to clarify, the warmer weather has taken away all my pitiful excuses and given an opportunity to make some good solid changes to my diet and my exercise routines. I can be active without just exercising. I love being in the garden!

Goals for May:
- 64 oz water or more a day
- 1550 calories or less a day
- NO EXCESS SNACKING! (unless fresh fruits and veggies)
- Limit carb intake by making at least one meal a day low carb.
- Get at least 8500 steps in every day
- Do my squats, crunches, pushups five days a week.
