I'm back + my bestie is getting married...on my birthday!

It's been a long time but it feels SO good to restart this blog. Mainly because to me it signifies the official start of me keeping consistent over the next six months. This will be a lifestyle, but I'm using the next six months as my first immediate goal in this health change!

I've been working on and off with getting in better shape the last few months, but consistency has been my weaker point. I have no excuse! I have a decent work schedule as far as hours and rare fluctuations in my daily schedule, and I have healthy options I can choose from in my surroundings. Even as it relates to strengthening my back, consistency could be applied ore frequently to my regimen lol I'll actually get better if I do! Adding to that, my bestie D is getting married in October, and on my 27th birthday at that. Two huge reasons to get in my best shape! I'm not getting any younger and I want to preserve my best body, now. Even with training to run as someone who is definitely not a runner, I'm seeing how important it is to take advantage of my youth now. I ordered a size 8 bridesmaid dress (I'm currently a 12) for her wedding LOL. There is no room for error - I have a little less than six months to lose two dress sizes. Seems doable, right? I can do it, but I have to be (say it with me) CONSISTENT.

Writing in my blog on here regularly helps me stay accountable and it is encouraging to share stories and read up on other people's progress and journey! Maybe someone else out there overcame back pain through exercising and weight loss, or I can encourage someone along their path dealing with that while I overcome mine. I love the community on here and I'm happy to be back!

Anyway, I'll be learning to cook along the way, too, so wish me luck with perfecting some delicious recipes in that keep my waistline small. *praying hands* My biggest issue is binging at random times (this is something I know will improve with practice, but the beginning is hard), so that will be something that I'll be documenting and sharing tips on how I'm managing that tendency.
