My, what a difference a week makes.

All the snow has melted, leaving behind seas of mud
and soft, squishy lawn. Loving the sunshine and the
chance to get outside without the heavy winter coat.
The last week was spent getting ready for city-wide
clean up. Sort of an Earth Day when you clean out
those items that normally cannot go out with the garbage
truck, pile it by the curb and watch it disappear as the
scavengers and hoarders pick it up. I am not concerned
as long as someone get some use out of those things
I no longer need or want. A set of 4 high back wooden
chairs that needed minor repair but do not work well with
small children, old lawn mowers that need repair or can
only be used for parts (I called my brother and he took
every scrap), and other misc. Just letting go-a great feeling.
The rest of life is moving along-studying for life and health
insurance license, renewing property and casualty license,
taking an occasional trip with the ambulance.
Yesterday a younger man was burned. His vehicle was not
running properly and he was trying to put the fire out but was
not successful. He reached inside the door to retrieve his
medication for asthma and the fire flashed. Burns to both
hands and arms, neck and face. Poor guy was in acute pain.
Taken to closest hospital, stabilized and then transported to
the closest airport for a plane trip to Minneapolis. That is the
closest burn center for our area. It will be a long recovery.
Now, back to work. If you don't hear from me more than once
a week, just know I am thinking of all my Sparky friends. HUGS!
