Beck Day 8 Create Time and Energy
Dieting takes a commitment, time and energy.
Planning, shopping, cooking, eating slowly, exercising, reading ARCs and Response Cards requires time and energy.
Most people lead over scheduled lives and need to create time to follow healthy lifestyle. This is going to take work but I’m willing to do what it takes to lose weight because it’s worth it!
Figure out how much time I need to follow a healthy lifestyle.
Sit down and eat slowly
Complete and check of to-do tasks.
Do I truly have control over my schedule? Yes.
Am I overburdened with responsibilities? No.
Do I feel as if my life is too complicated? No.
I’ve been retired for 5 years.
Commit in Writing
To make the time and energy for a healthy lifestyle, I’m going to keep my healthy lifestyle a priority.
Once I accept the fact that dieting takes time and energy, dieting will become easier.

I ate slowly and mindfully.
I gave myself credit when I engaged in helpful behaviors.
Tracked my food.
Drank my water.
Refrained from eating while standing.
Didn’t eat seconds.
Completed my fitness minutes.
Recognized a trigger.
Recognized and responded to a sabotaging thought. Didn’t eat an unplanned bite.

I looked at the week ahead and know that I have the time and energy to follow a healthy lifestyle.
