Two months

I was just looking for a calorie counter when I stumbled upon Spark People. Boy did I get SO much more than I bargained for and I'm SO grateful! The tools, articles, challenges, support, message boards, spark teams, spark mail, and SO much more! And friends as fitness buddies to top it off! I've learned SO much in the past 8 weeks and I'm still learning everyday. I've learned that tracking my food is essential to my weight loss efforts and one-day my maintenance. I've learned tracking my fitness is just as beneficial. I've learned that there's more to weight loss than the numbers on a scale. I've learned how important strength training and cardio are to my fitness success. I've been introduced to super foods I've come to love like lentils and matcha tea. I've taken suggestions that have lead me to getting a fitness tracker and started weighing and measuring my food before I eat it. I bought hand weights. I park farther away from the door at Wal-Mart to get my steps in. I'm going grocery shopping today and I'm switching it up to keep it interesting and so I don't get burnt out on these wonderful new foods I've come to love. In two days, April 21st, I'll be celebrating my first two months of the rest of my life with Spark People and I couldn't be more thrilled! I've lost 20 lbs so far. I've built a foundation for a healthy lifestyle and I intend on keeping it that way. Thanks for everything you do, let's keep sparking together we got this!
