As I foresaw yesterday... it was a maintaining week... and that's okay, considering my 'slight' derailment on Saturday. At least I didn't gorge on pizza, bread, and the like. A slight sugar influx with the opportunity to truly see how that crap affects me, once again. All progress in my mind, as far as I'm concerned... :)

So on to positive things... although the scale stayed the same, I did see 178 in the middle of the week, so I have decided that I am going to track all new weight loss milestones when they happen... therefore essentially giving myself a pat on the back for progress made, and a new visual goal to beat. This weighing in once a week and then not seeing the low number I did achieve is somewhat messing with my head.

Yes I know the scale fluctuates for all these various reasons... but if I saw it... I saw it... lol!

So... yes! I am playing mind games with myself, but if it works... I'm going with it.

On a positive note with my weight... the scale was bouncing around the high 70's this past week... where prior weeks it was bouncing around the low 80's... so that's progress.

I know... I know... slightly obsessed with the scale... but still seeing other non-scale victories and positive changes.

Like my reflection in the windows as I walk toward the grocery store. It's starting to look smaller, getting closer to this version of myself I have in my mind... not this one protected by a layer of whatever emotional chaos I've been through that I don't recognize... so that's GOOD!!!

Wish I had a full length mirror, but I don't. All in time. But having had one the last little while may have prevented some of this weight gain to begin with... who knows. What is done is done.

However... still a ways to go... but the body is indeed changing, even if the scale is not.

Including the fact that I can comfortable slide my underwear and yoga pants up without this little wiggle dance... lol! So that is awesome!!!

Also took Ramona's advice and weighed myself after meals, specifically the ones that I had previous concern may not be the best choice for me. Nothing alarming to report. But say 6 months ago, when I was still ingesting the odd gluten, potatoes and higher carb foods, I guarantee I would have seen alarming variances. Wish I had known that trick long ago... but glad I know it now.

On Saturday, I got outside for the walk/jog that I've been gearing myself up toward as my End of the Month (April) Goal!!! Woohoo.

Kids came with... geesh they have energy... really got me to push myself and move faster.

I tell you... that outside world is quite a bit tougher than jogging around my home (including stairs). Found muscles I had forgotten about, but remember finding once before when I originally started out on this journey many years ago... so BOOYAH TO THAT!

And now we have a new blanket of snow everywhere... lol! So glad I got it done when the mood struck and conditions were right!!

Was a good week, even if the scale did not move!

You are doing awesome!! Yes, just a little obsessed with that scale, but who isn't? I know that there are some people who only weigh once a week, or never, but I am like you, I want that visual reinforcement when it happens. So go with whatever works for you.

Gosh when is the spring going to happen? You guys have it much worse than we do, we only have cold rain, but it never seems to stop more than an hour or so.

Keep up the good work. Hey do you use a sugar replacement at all? My daughter uses the erythritol when she wants to sweeten anything. She finds it is best tasting, but has a bit of an after taste.

Hope you have another energetic week. hugs, Joann
