Storms? And good customer service...

The ice storm was pretty much a non-event where I live... it warmed up fast, and everything melted and was just soggy by about 7am, which is when I got home from walking the Cooper-dog. We did have some power issues during the night ( I know because I was up a good portion of the night dealing with a hypoglycemic event)... but other than a few minutes of power outage here and there we were pretty much spared... this time. Right now (middle of the night again) it is pouring rain... but it’s supposed to turn to heavy snow around noon... bplft!!
I have to give props to good customer service when I get it... yesterday my brother, Jonathan, drove me to the bigger mall in Buffalo to the Apple store to get the battery replaced in my phone (sadly, it was necessary)... and the service was great! The service tech I talked to was both friendly and competent (and we all know those don’t always go together)..: and had the battery replaced in under 1.5 hours. My brother and I went for food while we waited (but not in the food court)..: and then came back, walked for 35 minutes in the mall ( because Buffalo got a good bit more ice than we did... and it wasn’t safe to walk outside), before heading back to pick up the phone. When we got there the phone was ready, and for a minimal charge I had my phone back... with a new battery. Yay!
