Woke Up Feeling Hopeful

This week I focused on listening to my gut and not eating my feelings. I lost 2 pounds this week! I'm really happy with myself. For the first time in a long time, the scale is moving in the right direction.
I learned some things about the foods I eat too. The crunchy peanut butter I love hurts my stomach. Apples are sweet, crunchy, and amazing in oatmeal with cinnamon. My favorite chocolate cake from a local restaurant tastes kinda processed and chemically when I stop to really savor the taste. Sometimes I just want to drink water.
And I know those things seem kinda obvious, but I've been eating my stress and feelings for so long, that this is the first time I've really paid attention to my body. :) And it's cool.
