Doctor Visit - Not what I expected

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

So here I am so excited to go to my endocrinologist (Thryoid Dr.) for my six month check up and I am so pumped ready for good news because I have lost weight. I feel great, am taking my meds and hoping to get off them emoticon
So I had blood work which came back normal, ok so that good!! Let's celebrate that! However, my ultrasound show that two of my nodules have grown and especial the isthmus one which the doctor is concerned and we had already biopsied once before. emoticon So my bubble was burst but we did decide to wait 6 months and do another ultrasound - especially because I have Hashimoto and she feels that might be the reason.
So another six months and back I will go to see what has happened unless I feel it growing and it bothers me.
So needlessly to say I came home bummed out but I had my pity party emoticon and now I am going to stay positive and not give into this negativity. emoticon emoticon emoticon
So onward I go with my challenge and helping to cheer everyone else along the way!!

Let's Go Bears!!

I agree... Stay positive by not worrying and by doing all the natural things that aid the thyroid. Time to do a bit of research, right?

Oh, got mostly good news and I know you will continue to nurture yourself back into optimal health. I too have a very sluggish thyroid. I take Nature-Throid which is supposed to be a natural thyroid. I can't see that it has helped any on the weight loss struggle.

I am reading a wonderful book about natural ways of healing the thyroid and I'll let you know as I discover things. I also know that the constant stress that you have been under with family caregiving for so many years does a number on our adrenal glands and our thyroid gland also.

I'm trying my best to just let things come as they do instead of worrying myself sick over them which won't change a thing anyhow.

Blessings to you my sweet sweet friend and know that the minute I know something I will be sure to share it with my sparkling friends.

In the meantime concentrate on the GOOD things that you have achieved...and that's a BUNCH! emoticon emoticon

You've done so many positive things, this is a minor set back. I know you must be concerned, but keep doing what you're doing and in 6 months hopefull things will look better. I will say a prayer for you!

I know that's disappointing and a scary - but it doesn't take away all the good "stuff" you've been doing. You've still got all those good habits you have worked so hard to build.

You will over come this and the other effect (for that I won't call a disease) may be the reason. That is a mood killer.

With that being said, with the mood you was in before going in can actually help bring down the growths as the awesome mood helps heal the body. Same with losing weight.
