Beck Day 2 Pick 2 Reasonable Diets

The specific primary diet you choose doesn’t matter as long as it is healthy and well balanced. No one diet works well for everyone. All diets enable weight loss by getting me to eat fewer calories.

There are 2 kinds of diets.
1. Set eating plan with described meals and snacks.
2. Counting System allows me to design my own meals as long as I stay within certain, calories, carbohydrates or assigned numbers.

Pros and cons

Set eating plan
Pros It has fewer choices so initially it’s easier. Set rules.
Cons It may FEEL inflexible, be difficult in uncontrolled situations like eating out and vacations and it may be difficult to sustain. It may cause sabotaging thoughts like good/bad foods, blown it.

Counting System

Pros Diet can match lifestyle preferences, eating out, travel, social events, food choices.
Cons Might be too flexible. Planning takes more time and energy. May cause sabotaging thoughts this is too hard.

Guidelines for a Doable diet
Don’t choose a quick weight loss diet under 1200 calories which causes intense hunger and FEELINGS of deprivation.
Considerations:
Your diet should be healthy, have a reasonable variety of foods
Choose a diet that includes food you like can can easily prepare.
Choose a diet that is flexible for all situations.
Choose a diet that allows you to plan and budget for indulgences.

Don’t skip meals, especially breakfast.
Okay, I picked my two eating plans. Learning from the experiments of one from others, I realize that there is no one diet fits all. I’ll need to follow the diet I’ve chosen and listen to my body’s feedback. Right now, this diet is working for me. It’s flexible and I am able to adjust my choices to life situations. I am getting positive feedback from my body regarding hunger and satisfaction. I don’t feel deprived. I am making healthy, nutritious choices with a variety of foods. I could plan and budget for the occasional indulgence.

I read my ARCs twice today.
I carefully worded my ARCs so they make me FEEL better when applied.
I chose my 2 eating plans.
