Finished Ninth Weekend Fasting and Moving

Monday, April 09, 2018

Sunday was a move day. Not having to spend time eating was a big reason for the success as I didn't have time at all. Cooking some roasted pork for the workers was somewhat of a challenge as it smells pretty good. Luckily, I bought pork instead of beef, as I tried to avoid eating pork. They are the bottom feeders of the land animals. I may have broken down and eaten beef if that was the case. The thought of eating pork, stopped me cold. Thus my fast did not fail.

Later on Sunday night, I got hungry which didn't happen for the most part with the last 8 fasts. So physical activities do increase your hunger during a fast.

My focus is now on the number of fasting cycles. I've heard from different sources that metabolism will start to go down after 72 hours of fasting. With my 60-hour weekend fasting, I think I'm in the sweet spot of reaping the benefits without the downsides. Sure, there other benefits of longer fast that you can't get with shorter one, but I miss my food and I enjoy the consistency on what I do.

I'm looking forward to the next weekend when I can finish 10 fasting weekends in a row. A nice number.

Yay! Congratulations! I intermittent fast daily and love it. I've done a few extended fasts. My longest was 7 days, but they were all modified, I had some bone broth. Recently I did my first 72 hour water, black coffee, and green tea only. I'm so impressed with your consistency! You're amazing! emoticon emoticon emoticon
