Beck Ch 5 Get Ready: Lay the Ground Work

In this chapter, I will learn HOW to diet and begin learning crucial strategies for success.

I will learn
HOW to talk back to sabotaging thoughts.
HOW to reduce the number and intensity of cravings.
HOW to remain motivated despite intense cravings.
HOW to be more conscious of every bite.
HOW to increase satisfaction before and after meals.
HOW to solve problems that have led to diet failures.
HOW to FEEL more confident about my ability even during rough patches.
HOW to FEEL more accountable for everything I eat.

This preparation makes challenges surmountable NO MATTER WHAT.

At the beginning of every healthy journey, I begin to FEEL invincible. Today, I FEEL no cravings or dissatisfaction with my healthy diet. In fact, I FEEL totally comfortable as if nothing could divert me. I am consistently eating just until I FEEL reasonably full and staying within my calorie range. I am proud of myself. There are no cravings or FEELINGS of deprivation.

I need to learn HOW to sustain those feelings when I encounter challenges.
