I guess I'll have to admit to some depression for the last 6 months or so. I probably started feeling blue when we left Lincoln and most of my family to head back home to Florida. I didn't get any Christmas cards out, didn't get to keep a Christmas tree up because of 2 little girls who redecorated as fast as I decorated. We never do anything for New Year's so that was a normal day as was Valentine's day but Easter with no kids to color eggs or hunt eggs emoticon This morning Larry headed to church about 4a.m. to start preparing for cooking and serving breakfast for members and anyone else who wanted to join us. I got up, dressed and out to the car to discover I had a dead battery and couldn't go anywhere.

I have enjoyed a couple visits with family I seldom see. I also reminded my oldest brother that I live in Florida so when he comes this way it would be nice to meet up which we did yesterday. That was nice even though the weather didn't really cooperate but we didn't let that bother us.

Thanks, ladies. When my husband was working I did turn the music on and exercise but it's harder with him home I do need to try harder.

Sounds like you are still grieving---kind of normal---and the stress of the girls is probably not helping. Posting about it is probably one of the best things you could have done for yourself---you got it out and are facing up to it. Hugs!

Evans1848, I do the same thing with smiling so it's only the closest friends who see through. I'm sure losing both my parents in the last couple years didn't help. That's one reason we're trying to visit family when we can. I will do my best to keep a smile close by emoticon

I suggest buying yourself Valentine's Day presents. I used to. Turn up some music that makes you happy. That helped me get out of the funk when my kids were all in school and I was at home with nothing to do.
