Good Friday and Easter Eve
Saturday, March 31, 2018
A very solemn and meaningful service at church,
followed by family time polishing the brass candelabra,
candlesticks, crucifix and Bible stand. We had a very
basic lunch and enjoyed a quiet afternoon.
We had ordered baby chicks to raise and replace the
aging laying flock. Sadly, the delivery person was not
very concerned to keep them warm enough to thrive.
We lost 50 of them through this morning, 1/3 of the
amount we ordered. Another lady lost 80% of hers and
even the feed store owner lost most of his. The postal
service just isn't up to the job. The company retired it's
delivery truck last year, citing rising costs. They would have
been better off keeping the truck.
Today I have done laundry, turned in my information to the
tax man, did DS's tax prep as well, made a 7 layer salad
for an Easter egg dyeing party and organized things for
our Easter breakfast at church and family meal at noon.
Easter will be very special so enjoy your day. Happy Easter!
