My Unexpected Yoga Class

At least 4 days per week I go to an exercise class at the gym. Normally, the class consists of 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength exercise. Yes, I LOVE it. It reminds me a bit of the Jazzercise classes I did in the 90's and early 2000's. It is always fun. Due to a car accident and a vacation, a couple of instructors are out for a few weeks. We are getting substitute teachers. I don't mind. As long as we have a class I am happy.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a yoga teacher, at the gym, was leading our class today. I have done quite a bit of yoga exercises through the years. However, a 60 minute class was pretty new to me. We did get our heart rate up at the beginning of the class. We moved and flowed for 60 minutes. I felt fine and happy. I still do. But I will say that I am surprised that I feel as though every muscle in my body has been stretched. It is a "good" pain that I am feeling. I now plan to visit her yoga class on occasion. I have always heard how good yoga is good for our mind and body. It is so true.
