Oh-who can slow the hands of time; no one for they just keep on ticking... And the pages to a calendar keep on turning.
You could say time is like a river. It stops for no one. It has a beginning and an end. Just like
our life. Time moves swiftly.
I remember once saying to my Aunt-teacher, on a Monday: "I sure wish it was the weekend."
.....::: At fifteen years, I had my youth and an abundance of energy, but lacked wisdom. My Aunt's youth was gone, but in it's place was wisdom...::: I still recall her looking into my eyes and saying: "Never wish your life away. You will see It is going to go fast enough as it is." ....
...::: Funny how the young have boundless energy and a mind full of curiosity, Such gifts are not to take advantage of, for one day the hands of time will slow down.
Two choruses from "Today" by New Christy Minstrels:
...Today, while the blossom still clings to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joys that is mine today
I can't be contented with yesterday's glory
I can't live on promises winter to spring
Today is my moment and now is my story
I'll laugh and I'll cry and I'll sleep.
At this chapter of my life, my youth is a sweet but distant memory i look back on with fondness.
But like the butterfly, time is fleeing and time waits for no one.
What i once lacked, i now have. Wisdom and contentment have taken her place bringing fulfillment. I can't go back and i do not rush today. I have been graciously been given time and life.
Never wait for the perfect circumstances, because it is like tomorrow. It will never come.
....:: Make Today Count for it will soon Become Yesterday! .... And, each day, let go of the unpleasant things .... for at the close of your life, those will not be the things you remember.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!..
