Update: I've returned to regular exercise, including leading. Funny, but I have to take short "breathers" when someone else is leading, but I manage quite well when I'M doing the leading.
The "breathers" are becoming shorter in duration -- about 10 seconds after every other song.
I've noticed that my breathing capacity is slightly diminished (still bigger than normal for a 60 yo woman) again -- so I have to go back to working on my breathing exercises. Still, all in all, I've pretty much resumed my normal way of life. I rarely feel "less than". SO! I've decided: No more "recovering from pneumonia" talk. No more "it takes a full year to heal for a person my age." I hereby declare myself fully recovered and ready to go! And I did it just shy of 3 months!

Plan: full-on protein-sparing VLCHF diet. I've been reducing my carbs and reducing my carbs... and I'm ready for some weight loss!
Step 1: This week I'll get a few meals in the freezer, some snacks in the fridge, a few diet desserts (I know I know, but when you've got a sweet tooth, you MUST figure out how to deal with it!)... and track my water to be SURE I'm drinking LOTS. Pull out the food scale. And try to eat a VLCHF diet.
Step 2: Next week, track all my food. I thought I might start with an egg fast. And after 5 days, make the switch to my new way of life. And somehow find the time to re-research my protein needs and CALORIE minimums. I've got that info somewhere....

    I walked 4 hours yesterday during the Stations of the Cross. Being on my feet that long was tiring, more so than I expected.
