bad month

i seem to gain 10 pounds when i go on a work trip, even if i feel like i eat relatively well. Both the past two trips have been marred by some sort of injury, the Pennsylvania hernia, and then the case of the swelling ankles in New jersey, which precluded, for the most part, any exercise getting done. The latter, at least, seems to have calmed down since I got back to Michigan. But when I arrived on St Pat's Day, I weighed myself at a new high score of 236.4, which is...just brutal.

I've shed about 5 of those pounds since (seems like a real shed, not just a day to day scale variation), not sure if that's due to just getting back to normal-ish eating, or the fact that I went and re-upped my gym membership and got out there and played pickleball 4 times last week. Probably a combination, right?

But things are not trending, in a longer term, in the right direction at all.

It's hard to know what you're eating when you eat out. *SIGH* Between the hidden salt and sugar, it's a mine field.

Restaurants add so much salt to their food it's on unreal. I always ask for no salt foods but sometimes I can taste it. My best bet is to go for salads every chance I get.
