Still going strong...

In fact, I'm doing well enough that:
~I'm down 33 pounds
~I'm not only wearing jeans, I've tightened my belt twice ;)
~I'm still pain med free and my joints are doing great!
~My most recent blood work showed me back away from the pre-diabetic border
~My blood pressure is down.

I also find that I don't really have the crazy hunger swings I've had in the past nor do I have cravings for anything. Once and a while, I'll crave a slice of pizza though.

Now, I just really need to focus on reducing my stress and increasing my mindfullness.

On my plate right now, I'm dealing with a number of stressful things:
~a workaholic hubby whose new job was supposed to give him more time with his family; but it's actually worse

~a 16 year old daughter - I think that speaks for itself

~I'm a federal contractor and our contract expires this year. It's always stressful when the contract needs to be renewed. You never know who you might be working for or if you'll have a job.

~I'm under an avalanche of work. I support multiple research projects, plus my own which often means I'm juggling a lot of work. I'm never bored. LOL! So that's good at least.

To do this, I think I'm going to focus again on my journalling and meditation. When I got busy, I slacked off on doing it daily and I find that I'm missing it. It truly does help. My trainer is a big advocate of and actively does both.

With my current results so far, I can't argue with him. What he's doing for me is definitely working.

    This is such wonderful news! I just downloaded "Calm" last month and it starts my day out Perfectly. Well, then I do 20 minutes of a yoga app too, so it's doubly perfect. ::lol::

    Woman, you are doing fantastic with your new plan and your are reaping the rewards. I am happy for you. Now, start your meditation again! That did wonders for you. Physical health is affected by your emotional and mental health...... start destressing.

    You are doing excellently! As for having a 16 yr. old . . . you're right . . . on the stress 'o'meter, no more needs to be said. **SIGH** My Dd is 22 and STILL have those stress'o'meter moments! Less often though. So, it does improve!

    33lbs?!! EXCELLENT progress and there's nothin' sweeter than tightening a belt TWICE!! LOL!! ooh, you'll need to share what you're doing for those painless joints. Everything in your physical is AWESOME news, but if you don't REDUCE your stress, it affects our physical from what I've read and you've got a TRIPLE plateful so WHATEVER works for you, to get those stresses minimal, would be a HUGE help in keeping you on the up n' up. I remember you keeping us on that meditation path, alongside of you, and it was helping *me* so I really hope to hear more about that. You were also coloring. Keep your mindfulness focused and you'll be 'good ta go' dear friend. ::hugs::
