On Wednesday, my daughter and I did the "Mary, Mother of Jesus" program for the Senior Center. It was well received. On Thursday, DH and I ran some errands. Yesterday, I hosted our sibling "coffee klatsch". All of my brothers attended, and three spouses. That was the most there has been for awhile. I made a GF jello cake. It was my eldest brother's birthday -- he turned seventy. I asked my brothers to share some stories about the eldest. It was a fun time. My brother was in quite a few accidents -- falling from a tree stand, a tree falling on him, cutting part of his foot off with a lawnmower, getting hit with a wayward squash (now that's a story), etc. He is still here, though my DH said giving him dynamite in the mines was like giving a monkey a machine gun. What a laugh that was! I told him he is blessed to still be here. We think his tombstone may have to say, "Here Lies Lucky."
Over my calories today with pizza for dinner. Worked a lot of calories off, though, with defrosting the freezer and house cleaning. what a mess!
Soup and sandwich tomorrow at church after AM service. DH is making his chili and I am planning to take some cornbread.
Hope you All have a good night and a blessed Sunday!
