Why am I getting older? I Have Some Answers...

Why are things like this as I am getting older? Some answers I have....most I am still looking for.

I wonder why it takes so long to remember something. Then I remember that as I age, there's more to remember. I have to find the file cabinet in my brain that it's filed under.

Why does my body hurt more? Oh, yeah...when I was younger, I thought I was invincible. The aches and pains are my body's way of remembering that I abused it. Too much walking without the proper shoes, too much time spent waitressing when I should have had a desk job, too much too much.

Why do women have children when they are younger? The patience time line is now skewered a bit. Some things I know will pass. Some things I don't want to put up with.

Why do I not socialize and drink more? My brain shuts off after 8 pm and I don't want to feel bad when I wake up.

Anyone know of other answers? I welcome all.

We get to the point where we don't need
the social overload and time alone lets us
recharge our batteries. Take life as it comes.

I suppose most of that is due to 'wear and tear' over the years, much like an automobile. We began in life with abounding energy .... But unfortunately for many or most, that wanes over time. I too do not socialize much at all; am content being a homebody .... never thought i would say that after retirement .... But home is my haven. I also never touch alcohol; made that decision many years ago, when waking up w/ a headache and feeling crummy that i was forever done. ....... (My rear end is aching now; so that is my 'cue' to get off this computer and get busy. ...... emoticon ...... enjoy your Friday and weekend!
