The Struggle IS Real

Monday, March 05, 2018

I made Brownies...should I say any more? LOL

Actually the Brownies haven't really been the problem yet. This weekend and last week were a real struggle. I think depression has a lot to do with...OR I'm just using it as an excuse. I really don't know anymore. I'm not going to be negative though. I am going to WIN this battle!!

I was going through old clothes to give-a-way...clothes I wore about 6 years ago. That was depressing, I can't remember wearing them! Let me encourage you...if you have lost weight or done something you are proud of, take pictures, journal it and remember it! I swore up and down that I would never be unhealthy again after losing 72 lbs back in 2004...it happens, life happens.

Well, today is a new day, we're into March now, time changes on Sunday and I have a concert on Saturday. New Beginnings...here I go again :)

Thanks Shelley! I'm going to get busy cleaning some things bc we are rearranging our living room and dining room tonight, so at least I won't be tempted to eat then, I usually get more thirsty than hungry. Thanks for the pep talk AND buttered popcorn would send me over the edge! LOL Good for you for not caving in. :)

Brownies are tough to turn down. I don't honestly think I could make them and then have the owed to resist them.... even just the smell would make me insane!! I always give up sweets & treats for Lent and it really does help to kick start me to losing my sugar cravings. Over the weekend a few friends and I went to a movie and they all bought huge, buttery bags of popcorn, ALMOST KILLED ME!!! That smell! oh MY! I didn't give in! they kept trying to push it on me, but I stood strong. After I got home I felt so proud of myself... gave me extra motivation for the next day & hopefully the one after that (and so on).
You can do this, you've done it before (congrats) ... armed with knowledge and power... WOO HOO!!!
