Spring Preview: Stepping Out!

One of the things I love about my life these days (among SO many others...!) is that where I live, work, shop for groceries, fitness center and more are ALL located within a 2 mile radius.
However, I've been poking at myself over this one niggling thing all winter long:
Why am I DRIVING everywhere I need to GO?!?
When I heard the next three days were going to be milder (40s & 50s) and sunny I took up a challenge for myself:
I'm going to walk to work & back every day these three days. I'm hoping that I can get some walking mojo started such that I will prevail and push myself to build a walking habit that will spread beyond and defeat such excuses as: rain (there ARE such things as UMBRELLAS, right?), carrying gym clothes & lunch food, or the longer walk home from either the fitness center or my private practice office at the end of the day around 7-8 pm.
While I know I could ride my bike, I'm a cold-weather-wuss...for me it's just no fun riding when the temps are mid-40's or below.
