Packed And Ready

Friday, February 23, 2018

Finally, we are all packed. We are living in a maze of boxes. Hubby and a neighbor have cleared me a path so I can do my walking. The carpets have been cleaned, so I'm currently staying in the spare room while they dry. We have a person coming to clean tomorrow. Since everything is cleared out, I'm hoping that cleaning will be fairly easy.

I spent quite q bit of time getting all the utilities set up for when we settle and move into our new place. Our current utilities should be disconnected the day we settle on our current house. It will be strange leaving our house since we've been there a long time. Up until now, I've never lived in the same house for more than eleven years. We've lived here more than that so the change will take a little bit of adjustment.

It is strange being without our three dogs. I miss them but it is a relief not to struggle to care for them while I'm on the injured reserve list. My daughter tells me that they are adjusting beautifully. She and her hubby came down for several days to visit me and to bond with the pups. When they left, they took the dogs and all of their doggy stuff with them. My daughter said that all three dogs traveled well in the car. I guess they were surprised but hubby and I used to take them for rides all the time. They used to love riding in the car.

I will be taking a Spark break when we move, unless I can get my iPad to work where we are staying until we're settled.

Very exciting!!! It's almost over with and you can enjoy your new home. I know I cried leaving my old place bc we put a lot of love restoring it. Glad your pups are adjusting nicely, and so glad they went to family.
