20-Day Cruise!!! Part 3
Wednesday, February 14, 2018
After leaving Key West, our ship headed south toward Cartagena, Colombia, South America. It would take us all night January 7 and the entire next day (and night) January 8 to sail to our destination. While we were at sea, I decided to explore some areas of the ship.
Here is a photo of one of the hallways along which are the staterooms (cabins):
Our stateroom (cabin):
Our veranda (balcony):
The ship's atrium (open 2 decks ~ Decks 5 & 6 ~ central to the ship). This is central to the ship's main dining room on Deck 5, a bar with live music (Deck 5), the Bistro (coffee shop) on Deck 6, and shops on Deck 6 where passengers can buy high-end watches, gorgeous jewellery, and pricey clothing (boutique):
Beaded purses for sale in the boutique (about $300 each):
I spent quite a bit of time on Promenade Deck (Deck 7). This was the only deck that you could walk all the way around the entire circumference of the ship outdoors:
Lido Deck (Deck 12) was the deck with the swimming pool and hot tubs (remember the snowman photo from my blog "20-Day Cruise!!! Part1"):
Palm Court on Deck 12...This is where afternoon tea was held, as well as the captain's welcome and farewell receptions. It had a dance floor and a bar, and a lovely view from the front (forward) of the ship:
This is a view of the rear (aft) of the ship. Passengers could sit here in the morning and eat breakfast:
In the next blog, I will take you on to Cartagena, Colombia.
