Two years since I posted an entry here. I got lost on the site and ended up making another account, so this isn't actually the first time I've written in 2 years, though. Since no one reads this blog, I won't go into great detail about what happened, but anyhoo...

I am still not in menopause, but I am closer. I've gone 6 months and then 10 months without before my bubble was burst. I can't believe that at age 55 I still have to deal with this crap. But hey, maybe the estrogen is doing me some good.

I was diagnosed with DM-2 last summer. From August to December, I lost 47 lbs. I have been in a holding pattern for over a month. I keep slipping with my eating, although I haven't gone full round the bend. I am doing a better job keeping up with my exercise- at least 4 days a week of cardio (typically, an hour on the elliptical with some hiking thrown in. I am looking forward to spring and the pool being warm enough to swim in again.) I also bought some personal training sessions and am working on building some core and upper body strength.

Work is stressful at the moment. I am in charge of a new project. It is interesting, but there are some growing pains and some of the other managers seem to resent either the project itself or me being in charge of it. Bloody hell; it's always something, isn't it?
