I know I've read articles here on SP about setting goals. There are several things we are warned about. The one I'm thinking of is setting our goals to meet reality. I am beginning to see why the small 7 day challenges , and the 30 day challenges can help with this. Too many times we set our goal so high , the reality is the goal is impossible to reach. The disappointment is then more than we can handle. These small weekly challenges are reachable. The 30 day challenges are also, but even if we miss one we have met the other days and have accomplished more than if we had not tried them. Missing one day out of seven is still six good days!
Thanks for commenting on my blog - it is true that my health is most important and hopefully the weight will come with.
I teach goal setting to my students. There are short term and long term goals. Long term goals is where you want to finally get to but short term ones are the steps it takes to get there. Focus on the one that comes next and step by step you will reach your long term goal. You can do it! 303 days ago
I have done the seven day challenges, but I always take a day and sometimes 2 days in a week off, especially exercising and nutrition. Then I feel bad that there is 2 days that say not recorded, so this week I skipped doing any of the challenges. Now rethinking this and will probably go back and start adding them and so let it be the days I take off. In fact the site tells you we don't have to track food every day, and we need to take a day off if we want from exercise too. 303 days ago
