Not Too Bad

Thursday, February 08, 2018

The Sunday before last, I found my determination. I looked long and hard for it. When I was just about to give up, it was right in front of my face. long will it last this time?

A week ago today, we drove to Orlando. It seemed to take forever! Not much done but sitting. We returned Monday. The drive was quicker and more scenic, but it was another all-day sitting event.

Friday was the big day: Magic Kingdom. I never get tired of that place, especially when I am with my star-struck Helena. Walt sure dotted his I's and crossed his T's when it came down to magic perfection. No loss of steps that day! After sitting in the car on the way back to the hotel, I didn't think my foot would carry me to the room, but it did.

Sunday morning was spent at an aquarium with Helena. Just beautiful! Other than that, it was definitely a laid-back weekend.

I really had to concentrate and look long and hard for food that would fit into my new motivational lifestyle. I would have thought that I could find a burger or grilled chicken sandwich somewhere in the kingdom. "A piece of chicken for my kingdom!" Nope. I finally found a outdoor café' that had yogurt and fruit. Great on the healthy sides, but not quite a whole meal.

I am one who, when going to places like that and taking two days on the road to get there and back, packs a cooler with hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc. No one else wanted to be bothered. At one point, they considered going to a grocery store when we got there. Because it took so long, that was nixed.

I must have more motivation than I thought. Or not being in a three-year-old's household where there are a lot of snacks helps a great deal. I am six (6) pounds down. I don't think I've ever lost that much in two weeks.

Now - keep it up. Stay busy. Take lots of short walks or do whatever. Keep climbing this darn hill!
