Meditation with essential oils

If you are anything like me, it is soooo stinking hard to concentrate when I try to meditate! I feel like I think even more because I am trying not to think!! :) :)

If you can relate, try using Essential oils and breathing techniques to prepare yourself to enter into a meditative state!

Use single oils like Sacred Frankincense, Frankincense, Cedarwood and Rosemary and oil blends like Gratitude, Inspiration, Grounding, Sacred Mountain and Clarity to help focus your mind and raise your vibrational frequency before and during meditation!

Also, focusing on your breathing helps to quiet the chatter! Inhale deeply for 4 seconds and exhale slowly for 5 seconds. Continue this cycle while focusing on counting the seconds to help clear the mental chatter.

Taking deeper breaths also allows you to intake more oxygen into your body and your brain. The oxygen binds to brain cells and enhances their ability to work properly and clearly.

Just breathe, apply/diffuse and focus on listening to your heart and not the mind. Soon you will begin to feel a sense of calm and oneness....embrace that feeling. Allow yourself to be in the moment. You will begin to feel yourself drawn towards those things that are within that need to be addressed. Focus on those things. When you are done meditating, you may find that quite often, you will have an inner peace within or can manifest a grand idea or solution to something in which you have struggled with.

It is not the act of meditation that allows us to grow, but rather the effect it has on how we deal with life and feel about ourselves. Your circumstances and your inner voice are what dictates your reality and quite often we allow our irrational conscious mind to decide how we feel and how to handle situations. Meditation allows you to quiet the conscious mind so that we can hear the truth that is spoken through our hearts and not our illogical and irrational minds!

    I really, really struggle with meditation--I struggle with quieting my mind, and I have never reached any kind of state of calm and/or oneness. But I found it was easier for me if I had something to actively focus on--for me I have been the most successful with either moving meditations (my main one is braiding) or listening meditations. You can do it with any kind of gong or bell that you can strike and let it keep on ringing, but I have an app on my phone that plays a gong at intervals and that works well for me.

    My fitbit also has a meditation setting I haven't tried yet that uses your heart rate to pace you--I haven't tried that one yet though.

    But I will definitely have to try essential oils. I already have some of the ones you mentioned.

    Hmm, haven’t tried essential oils for meditation by I have used them to help me get to sleep. I so identify with that graphic! emoticon
