I can't believe it's February. I still haven't shaken off the December vibes completely. But I can feel Spring stirring with the wet rains yesterday breathing a less than frosty freshness to our area. I've successfully avoided the commercialism of the holidays. No Christmas, No Valentine's. It almost feels odd to NOT be bombarded by those messages. It's freeing. I'm looking forward to the perspective shift of celebrating the Lunar New Year again this year. It will be the Year Of The Dog.
I weighed 222.8 lbs this morning. I can't help looking at the scale. At the moment it's fun so here's hoping it's not developing into an OCD habit. That's about 10 lbs since the start of January. I'm still incredulous that I'm making progress somehow.
This time I'm actually making progress. Without pressure. Without worry. I'm making strides towards my goal.
I'm focused on nutrition right now and not exercise. Though I did start this plan with an exercise regimen last summer, I haven't worked out in a few months.
I think I'm gonna search for a way to watch Groundhog Day though I cut the cable cord several years ago and it might not be on Netflix.
We're halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Light is returning and the Earth is waking up. I hope you are all enjoying life and reaching your goals.
