Evaluating January 2018

The first month of the new year is quickly drawing to a close. I think I have changed the funk I was in for the better.
Tim and I have our own apartment now. It's far from being organized and polished, but tremendous strides have been made. I've gone through and purged a bit. I'll have to finish it up when the rest of our belongings come from Michigan. I am so glad we both made the move here.
Sherry's had no water since Friday afternoon. A valve in the wall to the shower broke. Thank goodness we had moved, or I would be going crazy with no water. They've come to take showers and do laundry. I put my foot down when Sherry said she wanted to bring her dishes over to wash.
Helena's spent the night four nights already. (We've only been in here since the Saturday before last.) It's hard not being with her on the days she's not here. Spring sports are starting up and I will be busy taking her when I can. She's got a smorgasbord lined up: swimming, soccer, basketball, baseball.... Sherry asked what age she has to be to join Girl Scouts; thank goodness it's 5.
Sherry and I joined Scale Back Alabama. If we each lose 10 pounds, we are automatically entered into a drawing for money. I figured that's good incentive to lose it.
On Monday, I joined Weight Watchers. I've always been one to need the added incentive of being accountable to others. Having been on Spark People, I see where the two will go hand in hand very nicely. I am back to tracking my food and water a little more closely.
The weather finally seems to be creeping up more than it's been falling. I always loved spring. I seem to have more energy. I've been walking outside more and it's heavenly.
Here's looking to the end of February. I want to look back and see how much more I've accomplished.
