Day 7 Exercise Streak

Besides work, I had a class Monday and Thursday night. It ran late both nights. Didn't get home until past 10 P.M. on Thurs. night. The class was a 45 min. drive from home. 30 min. or so drive from work.

I have not broken my exercise streak. That's the good news.

However, I ate too much yesterday. I drove over to McDs and bought a 6 piece chicken tenders and 2 buffalo sauces. Now, I'm paying for it. The breading in the tenders causes me problems. I think I'm allergic or sensitive to wheat. I have cut way back but if I overdo it, I pay the price.

I have never bought a 6 piece chicken tender before. I've had 2, 3, even 4, but not 6. I think I was giving myself a "treat" for working late.

I did fine until the chicken tenders. I also ate yogurt and started eating mixed nuts from the can rather than counting out 22 pieces. Bad, bad, bad! . And I weigh in tomorrow. The only saving grace is that the nuts were unsalted. Maybe it's the nuts I over-ate that is causing my problems. I rarely eat nuts from a can but I fell prey to a craving this week.

Today I ate egg whites, a yellow squash, Roma tomatoes, an orange, a banana, a yogurt, and a spinach ready pack salad. Then blew it with the chicken tenders (high sodium), high sodium buffalo sauce, and two more yogurts, one being a high calorie Yoplait Girl Scout Thin Mint. I have given up sweets like cookies, ice cream, pie, candy, cake, and doughnuts. I may need to add Yoplait Girl Scout Yogurts. They come in Thin Mint, Coconut Cream, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. If I eat one, I crave more. 😕 Besides the Girl Scout Yogurt, I need to say goodbye to chicken tenders (I can get grilled from Chick Fil A if I'm craving them.) and mixed nuts. Why did I buy the nuts!? No more of that. The nuts are an easy choice to eliminate. No sodium nuts are just not as good as salted anyway. I can stick with the natural almonds rather than the mixed nuts.

Weigh in will not be pretty tomorrow. 😭

    Way to go on the exercise. I was the same with food yesterday, snacking constantly. Hope today is better.

    i think i have to totally cut out nuts, too. today is my last day with them..i follow my menus. but i'm stalled and the only thing different is the out they go. sigh. they were a nice treat. but my goals are more important, so thats what leaves!

    Forgive yourself, learn from this and move on. I know when my schedule is as busy as yours I often over ate. I do think it was a subconscious reward for working or it was just because I was tired (I often overeat when I am tired) Now I know what caused it I can work with it.
