Day 57 Gaining some traction
Friday, January 26, 2018
Naturally I chose to reset my efforts right before the holidays! Consequently, my big triumph was in just holding fast to where I was and not adding insult to injury. No additional weight gained during the holidays - I'll take that as a win.
Embarking on an eating reset was/is the next step, and unfortunately the challenge I'm participating in started at the wrong time: the week prior to a dance workshop during which I traditionally host a wine and cheese party. Did I mention none of these is part of my current eating plan, and both these things are among my favorites?
The weekend workshop has come and gone, was a great success, and I was not even tempted to consume all that lovely stuff I provided for others. Almost halfway through my eating reset and going strong.
The exercise reset is still ahead of me. The unusually cold temperatures have been affecting me more than usual - I attempted a marathon (walking) on New Years Day but was so cold I had to stop at a half. A week later I passed on a group run because I was shivering uncontrollably.
Running at regular intervals is still to be accomplished, but I'm hopeful.
