My daughter gave me a Fitbit for Christmas and I have been using it everyday. I started at 5000 steps as I haven't been active since the snow came. I walked 6000 steps today and did stairs at the library for 10 minutes. I found that I wasn't doing stairs well a couple weeks ago so decided to try doing more. I had a total knee in Oct 2016 and have been having trouble with stairs since.
I go to the local Price Chopper or Walmart to walk (I'm going broke from finding things I need/want on my walks).
I have been using SP to keep track of my calories and have lost only a measly 5 lbs. but I can see how good my legs feel and how strong they are getting. I'm using weights to firm up my arms as I walk around the house. Usually, I would have given up or gone back to my old routine by now but maybe I will stick with it. I'm trying a low carb diet and I still need to tweak it as I'm finding I'm eating too much fat and not enough protein. At least I'm not starving all the time.
