The Power of Suggestion

Wednesday, January 24, 2018

For years, I bought into the suggestion that going to the grocery store when hungry meant I would spend more. So if I felt the least bit hungry, I would drive thru a nearby restaurant and buy something, often French fries. I'd justify eating fries because it would keep me from buying unhealthy foods in the store.

I was wrong to listen to that suggestion. I can be a little hungry and stick to the items I need to get. I recently proved that by going to not one but two groceries stores and getting only the healthful items I needed even though I was a little hungry while I was shopping.

What other suggestions have I accepted at face value that have been sabotaging my health?
