100% Commitment - Waylaid by Girl Scout Cookies

Tuesday, January 23, 2018

I started yesterday by driving my partner to an early morning appointment. I was surprised how sore that made me! I had my stepdad take me to my doctor appointment. The doctor gave me a limited release to return to work. I can work from home, but I may not drive to work until 2/2.
The problems with driving right now are minor, but could be major on my long commute. My right side gets very sore staying in that position so long, the steering wheel irritates two of the incisions and I cannot adjust the seatback. I am so short that I have to be practically squished against the steering wheel.

I can't wait to lose this gut!!!!!!!!!

Today, a box of Girl Scout cookies that I ordered from my cousin's daughter arrived. I tried exactly 2 of the S'Mores. I did so thoughtfully and mindfully. I read the nutrition panel aloud to BF and he also stopped at two. Two was enough. I love Samoas the most, but they are all going to the veterans. BF is actually in agreement with me. He loves going to Planet Fitness and would rather make progress there than set himself back by indulging in sweets. For him, this is really huge. He has the biggest sweet tooth I have ever known.

So, while I did not meet my 100% commitment today, it is not the end of the journey. No reason to dive into the rest of the box and indulge in gluttony.

emoticon to the both of you for knowing your best priorities! We don't get all those types of Girl Scout cookies here, just the regular oreo style in the summer or mint in the winter. Ours are called Girl Guides here.
