Emotional Upheaval Last Week
Sunday, January 21, 2018
It was such a tough week to go through all the motions of being normal. Our dog, Lady, went missing and we have been unable to find her. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that she will not be found. She liked to roam our hillside, as well as the connecting hillsides of our neighbors, and went out roaming with her buddy, Fuzzy. We are in a rural area and folks around here sometimes get an itchy finger with a gun. One neighbor in particular does. He shot a hole through our home once. It landed in a book on a shelf. Thank God only a hole to mend in the wall. Anyway, the day Lady went missing we heard one shot -- Lady did not return. I have been an emotional wreck until Friday when I decided that "all things work together for good to those who love God who are the called according to His purpose" Rom. 8:28 NKV. Sometimes things are difficult to understand, but we can still have peace.
Hopefully, this week will be a better week with peace abounding. Tomorrow we are invited to my eldest brother's home for coffee and pie. My other brothers should be there, too, except for the one who went to Florida.
Have a great week, All!
