I'm an auntie....again
Saturday, January 20, 2018
Yesterday marked the birth of my 10th niece, making it 18! Tavia Rose was born at 4am weighing 6 lbs 13oz only 13 days early after threatening extremely early arrival from 20 weeks to 34 weeks. Thankfully it was an uneventful and fairly quick delivery considering this is #7 for them - four girls and three boys. It stinks being 3000km from them though and I have no idea when I will actually get to meet my new niece. Hopefully soon!! This is the first one that I haven't been close by and met within the first few hours. Tessa was only an hour old when I got to see her and not seeing Tavia is really hard. Growing up in a big family has its moments - both good and bad but we were very close and living so far away is wrenching at times like this. It's a tough time of year with Monday being 21 years since we lost Mom and her 72nd birthday just past. I have a hard time staying motivated in the winter but especially the month of January and this really isn't helping. Today was a very low step day and tomorrow will be as well but hopefully I'll get in at least 6k. Hopefully I'll get to at least see some pictures soon....waiting impatiently!!
